PhoneCode Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PhoneCode, an on-device AI coding client published by Deyan Todorov. By installing or using PhoneCode, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

PhoneCode lets an AI agent work with code and files on your device. It can use a permanent app workspace, access folders you explicitly link, run commands, use Git, search the web, connect to tools, and install software inside an optional Linux environment. PhoneCode does not include an AI model or developer-operated backend. You connect your own third-party provider. There is no PhoneCode account.

2. Third-party services and charges

Your relationship with each AI provider, Git host, search service, package repository, MCP server, and custom endpoint is governed by that service's terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for credentials, account security, eligibility, limits, and any fees charged by those services.

3. Agent access and responsibility

Depending on your settings and approvals, the agent can read, create, modify, rename, or delete files; run commands and installed software; make network requests; and perform Git operations, including remote changes. AI output and tool actions can be wrong, insecure, destructive, or unexpected. Review important changes, use version control, keep appropriate backups, and supervise automatic access.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use PhoneCode to violate the law, infringe another person's rights, gain unauthorized access, distribute malware, or abuse a third-party service. You must have the right to use and transmit every file, credential, repository, prompt, and other item you provide.

5. Output and installed software

PhoneCode does not verify or guarantee generated output. Output may contain errors, vulnerabilities, incompatible code, or material subject to third-party rights. Software installed in the optional Linux environment comes from third parties. You are responsible for testing output, choosing package sources, reviewing licenses, and evaluating security.

6. Privacy and age

The PhoneCode Privacy Policy explains data handling. PhoneCode is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian's involvement. You must meet each connected service's age requirements.

7. Availability

PhoneCode is an independent project. Features, integrations, supported models, and availability may change. Third-party API changes can interrupt functionality. The developer may update or discontinue the app without guaranteeing continued support or compatibility.

8. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PhoneCode is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, security, availability, or non-infringement. Nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, code, credentials, profits, revenue, or business arising from PhoneCode, AI output, tool actions, third-party services, installed software, or your accounts. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for PhoneCode.

10. Licenses, changes, and contact
